About Me
I was born and raised (mostly) in the Texas Panhandle (in a tiny town of no consequence) though I currently live in Dallas. I'm a twenty-something proud mama of a shih-tzu named Charlie (my beloved taste tester) and a Siamese mix cat named Roo (who could care less about my baking). Oh, and a chocolate brown/white guinea pig name Cadbury because he well... looks like a cadbury egg.
I've had a love of baking and cooking since I was a young girl thanks to my Memaw. I dreamed of going to pastry school but wasn't sure if baking was something I wanted to do full time. So, instead, I studied and received English degree due to my other love...reading. I am a fan of Jane Austen, specifically Pride and Prejudice. And before you ask, the BBC mini-series is vastly superior to the more recent big box office version.
I spent a semester in London during college and feel in love with the culture and country. I love anything British and I'm always eager to try traditional British recipes (no they're not all bad!). I tried blood pudding once by accident and thought it quite tasty until I was told what it actually was. So no need to send any recipes for that. I've tried it once and I'm not really eager to try it again.
Though I've spent more time baking, I'm always eager to try new savory recipes. Feel free to send me a recipe (any type) that you love. I may not have a chance to make it right away but if I like what I see, I'll definitely add it to my list of must makes!

I try and post recipes with my posts. If it is available online (such as Food Network.com), I usually include it with a link back to the original. If the recipe is from another blogger, I try and get permission before posting the actual recipe (and a link back of course). Any recipes found only in a book are usually not posted unless I have the appropriate permission or the post is part of a online cooking/baking group who has permission.
